A popular Nashville performer wants national recognition, but is hampered by her controlling boy friend and manager, and events from her past. Finally, by turning to her guitarist, she finds the resolve to face her troubles, including her long estranged mother, and the death of her estranged father, who had tried to control her career in her early days.
